Hello and welcome to my Ironsworn Campaign am Tommy Lovett. Last time I did a weird fanfiction type thing and I found out that I didn't really like it much so am going to use the free game Ironsworn to hopefully make some fun that way. first am going to roll my character's backstory using the character roles oracle Ironsworn includes. I rolled a 49 on the d100 and so my character is a Forager, now am going to roll a goal for this character. I roll 35 meaning my character wants to seize power and rise above their status. now I roll their description. I rolled a 90 meaning Fervent or simply an impassioned person. am going to make this a male ranger named Toma Stonehelm.
Toma Stonehelm is sick of having to work for their living and has taken an old Sword and some gear to start their life as an adventurer in his hometown of Olgar's Stand in the Havens of the Ironlands. joined by two other people Bastien a man who wishes to spread faith as a Paladin and Amara a woman who wishes to rebel against her father by becoming an adventurer. These Three beginner adventurers meet in a Tavern when a mysterious robed gentleman asked them if their an adventuring party. "Well of course good sir" said Toma "What seems to be the trouble, we're all new but eager to aid you for the right price." "Our Jarl is cruel and monstrous! he even beat my son within an inch of his life!" The old woman under the robes hides bruises which backs up her story. "My name is Alina, please come follow me if you're able to defeat them in a bloody duel you can take the throne away from that evil man." and so the trio of adventurer's followed this woman into a Wasteland barely kept alive, starving farmers can be seen. the region is within the Ragged Coast. "This is horrible! what happened?" "The Jarl named Pemba has taken over half our farmer's plot to pig himself out on what should be the town's food supply." The old woman continues "My poor baby boy was beaten for simply taking an apple from what the townspeople call the pig's pile." Toma has heard enough "Where is this bastard!" The woman points to a Castle not too far away from where they were. "I vow to put an end to this monster's greed!"
Toma, Beastien and Amara break into the Jarl's house and demand..."End your greed pig king!" A round and towering giant hears this and Laughs "You dare demand the King! Ho-ho-ho You three look tiny from down there." Toma is not amused and continues; "I challenge you to a duel for the throne!" The big and round king cuts the laughs and simply states "If you wish to die so be it, Guards get my Axe!" a Guard hands the giant Pemba his Axe for dueling. Toma and Pemba enter the fray!
Toma is prepared to act and makes the first move readying his Broadsword for his attack. his sword lands a blow on the pig king damaging his ego. But Pemba wasn't going to stand for this and strikes in return with his great axe dealing a damaging blow to Toma but not without being hit with a swing of Toma's broadsword. Toma has been struck hard but presses onward with the duel. The two duelists clash once more with steel as Toma stabs his blade into the kidney of the Jarl dealing twice as much harm to the large man. Pemba has decided to go all out with axe before he is defeated and swings with gusto and deals a heavy blow cutting into the flesh of Toma, but somehow Toma is still standing even with that heavy blow dealt to him. The two men clash yet another time and Pemba decks Toma in the face with his axe's pommel breaking his nose to pieces! but even with that blow and alot of harm done Toma still stands! They clash yet again this time Toma stabs a Lung making the pig king cough out blood and they then keels over in a pool of red on the castle floor. Toma has won! Toma then becomes the new Jarl of Frostwood and now rules it with both Bastien and Amara with love and peace between the court and its people.
Well, this was a lot of fun to write Ironsworn is no doubts my favorite system for simply writing out combat, non-playable characters and etc. am sure I can maybe make Toma go through more quests and such in the future. I missed this hobby of tabletop roleplaying very much and now after four months here I am writing this masterpiece out from nothing, anyways thank you for reading my play of Ironsworn.
