1. Prisoners of the Void

It was a dark and gloomy morning and like the fog outside your memories were just as cloudy. As you and the other prisoners began their long-awaited escape plan you made your way through the tunnels dug up over the course of weeks, freedom would not be easy but nothing worth doing ever is. Despite not having memories the prisoners all had one thing in common, they had names, it seems whatever caused their initial loss of memory was selective in what was taken.

As you all dug through the last mile of stone a moment of quiet filled the tunnel apart from the sound of a spoon digging through dirt and soil. Goro Tanaka was the miner of your group, quiet and gentle for a rather large man. He has been kind to you all thus far and has the strength to protect you all.

"How much further is it now?" asked a young man close behind Goro. He was fit and maintained a capable body, he was second only to Goro in raw strength. His eyes showed an innocence to him.

"I think it's just a bit further down, we're almost there." said Goro "How are the rest of you holding up?" behind Goro were four other prisoners, two male and two female, and all young adults.

The young man directly behind Goro was named Ryan Roads, an optimist even in a dark time such as this. next was another young man with black hair and green eyes. he had a stoic look to him and could hold his own if need be. next was a Lunari, a rabbit humanoid from the moon's kingdom, she had long silver hair and two rabbit ears on her head, she was the only non-human of the group. after she was a woman named Akiko Nakamura, she was the one who planned this escape in the first place and thus far has been looked to for matters of strategy.

Goro finally broke through the last wall and could see light for the first time in a while of digging. He calls out to the others. "I found it! we're here!"

"Yes! Let's get this plan going." said Ryan

"Hold up, we only have one shot so let's stay focused and save the celebration for later Ryan."

The group have broken into the prison's armory and began raiding it for weapons and supplies. Despite losing their memories they still knew of how to fight and retain their skills before their imprisonment. having their weapons they enact their next course of action, leaving the prison.

The party just has to make it from the armory to the Gateway leading out of the dimension, they don't know where this gateway leads but it has to be better than here. so the five make their way out of the prison weapons in hand, guards and dogs are on their tail but they keep moving towards the gateway leading out but to access the gateway they must first defeat the guards stationed near the gateway and activate the switch to it.

The party of prisoners deftly defeat their captors with their newfound weapons and some magic, seems the ones keeping you here didn't think to bolster the defenses. As you collect items from the fallen Akiko has taken to setting up the gateway for the escape.

"Okay I think I can make this thing take us somewhere safe from here, just needs a bit of tweaking..." said Akiko

Michael responds with "Best hurry, the guards chasing us are on the way here!"

"Just a bit more...Yes, I got it!" Akiko finishes up her work on the Gateway panel and the portal opens up.

"The gateway's open let's go!" says Michael as he heads to the portal. the rest of the group follows suit, each one fading as they leap into the gateway leading to somewhere hopefully safer than here.
