Travelers of the Multiverse # 3

The next mission will be to search for a scholar who studies an ancient language who is missing. it's believed foul play is involved. after getting their mission briefing from Bradford Ryan and Michael go to Domino City home of the now even more popular card game Duel Monsters. the game became known multiverse wide due to the Alter Marik incident being contested over a match of Duel monsters. the Scholar their looking for is a man named Lewis Locke who came to Domino City to translate newly discovered writing believed to be from the ancients in Egypt.

Ryan is currently trying to convince Michael to join him in a game of Duel Monsters but Michael is in turn trying to convince Ryan to take this job more seriously. "I don't care that you bought me a deck, we have a job to do here!" Michael states sternly. "Aw come on I thought you loved spellcasters..." Ryan says sadly "We can play after we get the mission done...we should start our search with that weird haired guy over there." Michael pointed towards a young man with a freaky hair style in blue jacket and jeans.

"You there in with the tri-colored hair, would be so kind as to answer me a question." Michael asked. "Afraid not, sorry I have somewhere I need to be. maybe next time." "It's just a single question, surely you can answer and still make it to where you need to be" Michael rolls an 8 making a persuade check with a raise. "Well, if it's just a simple question I suppose I can spare the time. what's the question?" "Do you know a scholar by the name of Lewis Locke?" asked Michael "The one who studies the ancient Egyptian language? I heard they went missing, are you travelers from another world?" "Me and my Partner are investigating that very disappearance, would you happen to know something of value?" "Well, am meeting up with Kaiba in order to find out more from him, I suppose you two can come as well. My name is Yugi Muto, and you two?" "Am Michael Hunter and this blue haired kid is Ryan Roads." The three of them headed to Kaiba Corp tower to meet with Seto Kaiba a billionaire playboy with a mean streak.

"Why did you bring two losers with you!?" Kaiba asked getting steamed over Yugi bringing friends "Their Travelers sent to find Lewis Locke same as us Kaiba, I see no reason not to bring them." "Tck, fine but they better watch their mouths. Lewis Locke was my language expert who quit a month ago to do ancient language research like a snake and ended up disappearing from thin air. I personally could care less but then this letter came in the mail for me" he hands the letter to Yugi and Yugi reads it aloud. "Your empire will fall as the Dark Alter is revived!?" Yugi is shocked but was able to ask, "that can't mean another Alternate Marik, can it?" "I don't know for sure, but I don't intend on waiting to find out...we need to call the other Heroic Alters and tell them more cult activity has come up." "Why didn't you do it yourself?" "Because am busy bringing Duel Monsters to as many universes as possible, working with Pegasus makes me sick but he's my business partner on bringing Duel Monsters to the multiverse."

And so having not accomplished anything and being left with more questions then answers Ryan and Michael ask Yugi to let them follow in order to complete their mission, Yugi seeing the extra help welcomed and agreed. Yugi's Traveler's Device also acts as a communications device across the multiverse and with it is able to call on Reimu of Gensokyo, Dante a son of Sparta and Sora, Keyblade wielder. after which Yugi opens a portal to the Alters of Light Temple there which the Travelers of light meet.

"Cool!" Ryan can barely contain his excitement as Michael simple stares in awe of this temple. "Quite the place I know, I was taken aback when I first came here myself." Yugi says. "Anyways let's find the others." The three meet the other Heroic Travelers and begin their meeting.

"Dark Alters!?" Reimu angry already "I thought that Alter Marik was the one causing trouble now you tell me that a cult was made around him coming back from the dead." "Sounds like a job for a real demon hunter young lady, I got this job." Dante says full of confidence "Oh, is that so old man?" Reimu quickly replies back "We don't even know who sent it, I can maybe keep an eye out but without a clear direction we got no clue where to find these Dark Alters." Sora says being the levelheaded one for once. "I called you all here to discuss a plan of action in case this is indeed another Alter Marik" Ryan raises his hand. while Michael tries to silently signal him to stop. "Who are they?" Reimu asked "Travelers sent to find Lewis Locke, I believe this letter Kaiba received may be connected to his disappearance." "May I ask something?" Ryan says, "What's an alter?" "Alters are alternate versions of people, when we say Light Alters, we're talking about the good alternate selves and when we say Dark Alters we mean their bad news." Sora explains. "Oh, thank you, young man." Ryan says "My partner and I want to just find Lewis Locke before it's too late, whatever your deal with Dark alters are your job. I just want to bring back Lewis." Michael says, "Am afraid the situation is more dire than you think, if there is a chance another Dark Alter Marik appears we must be ready, am not a combatant myself but from the look of those muscles on your blue friend he can handle himself well in a fight." "Fight!? you only got a threat letter what makes you think-" Michael "The Cult of Dark Alters is what Yugi is worried about." Sora says, "A no-good group that does all kinds of horrible things like sacrifices and terrorism" "I believe this letter came from that same cult" Yugi states "the other Heroic Travelers or Light Alters are busy with activity from the Dark Alters Cult and am afraid I will need your help." "Am tough so don't sweat it, Yugi!" Ryan says with a cheery face. Suddenly Yugi's Traveler's Device rings. It's from Kaiba a Spider like monster had just taken his little brother Mokuba! "Something did what!?" Yugi states "everyone that was Kaiba a monster just took Mokuba!" and with that being said the six Light Alters headed back to Domino city to face this monster...next time on Travelers of the Multiverse.
