Travelers of the Multiverse # 4

After hearing of the news Yugi asked Sora to take Ryan and Michael to save Mokuba from the evil cultists of the Dark Alters. This being the first public kidnapping in a while makes it clear the cult wants to create another monster like the one that stalked Kagerou. Ryan and Michael though worried for Lewis was willing to let Yugi handle finding Lewis Locke.

Now we join our heroes on the raid of the Dark Alters in order to save the child Mokuba. but are shocked to discover yet another Kaijin monster this one being a spider man. Round 1 of combat starts and sora makes his way to strike the cult followers he inflicts a massive blow and shuts down one out of the five cultists. Then Ryan and Michael follow sora closely getting within range of the enemy, Michael fires a shot from his revolver. Then it's the enemy's turn the spider Kaijin leaps on to sora and bites with a wild attack leaving it open to attack but dealing even more damage. the damage was just enough to shake Sora but now there is a chance to counter the Kaijin. the rest of the cult members move in for blood!

Round 2 of combat starts with the spider doing yet another wild attack on Sora. the spider lands a blow on Sora dealing two massive wounds to him and he has yet to recover from being shaken. One cultist swings their knife at Michael hunter but misses completely. another two cultists attack wildly at Ryan and Michael with their own weapons. both dealing two wounds of damage on each of them. In a desperate effort to save the mission Sora activates the distress on his Traveler's device calling for back up from Reimu and Dante.

In round 3 each one of the heroes recover from being shaken and plan their counterattack. Ryo returns the favor by wild attacking the now open to strike cultist next to him defeating them instantly. then Sora strikes the spider Kaijin's head stunning it but doing nowhere near enough damage. Michael repositions himself and readies another revolver shot on the Cultist that wounded him badly. he aims then boom the head of that cultist goes splat.

It's now round 4 and Sora is looking grim. The spider Kaijin then wild attacks Sora once more with craw and maw. dealing a third wound to Sora putting them just a knockout punch away from being incapacitated. meanwhile a cultist moves towards Ryan and wildly attacks them...but the attack was parried. Sora was not so lucky as another cultist stabs Sora in the chest area mortally wounding him, he is unable to battle.

Michael seeing the situation deteriorate aims his gun and fires at the cultist that just downed Sora and PLOW the robed creep falls down and dies.

now its Ryan's chance to turn this ugly mess around seeing the Kaijin Spider Ryan moves towards and strikes! channeling his inner toku hero he jumps and performs a Brawler Kick! but alas the kick was blocked by the spider man. dealing no wounds.

Round 5 begins and its once again Michael's turn, he aims his gun and fires a shot at the Kaijin, but it missed due to being too wounded to hold the gun right. he then backs up to put more distance between him and the cultists and their monster. Ryan is angry and throws a Brawler Punch at his foe the Spider Kaijin. dealing a single wound in the monster's face. but while Ryan was dealing with the Kaijin one of the cultists is trying to take off with the hostage! the Kaiji barely regains focus thanks to the wild die and the Beast attacks Ryan hoping to incap.it deals a heavy blow to the face and knocks Ryan out. Michael is bloody and close to passing out...but he refuses to simply give up his life. he takes aim and fires and while the shot connects it just bounces off like nothing. he repositions once again but is now cornered if the Kaijin rushes him down.

Round 6 begins with the lone cultist grabbing the tied-up hostage Mokuba and the Spider Kaijin looming closer to Michael in the corner of the room. Things are looking dire until the doors are busted open by both Dante and Reimu coming to provide support to Michael and the two unconscious Travelers on the floor of the warehouse. "We made it just in time to start the party...whoa that kid with the keyblade looks pale!" Dante remarks with a cocky voice. "Let's exterminate this monster!" Reimu says with haste.

both of them fire a volley of bullets both of magical power and a pair of firearms. ending the monster where it once stood.

Afterwards Reimu healed Ryan, Michael and Sora and asked them what happened. "Gosh, that was sloppy of me, sorry guys I usually do better than this." Sora says after being patched up by Reimu. "No worries that spider- Ow" Ryan is still being patched up "So what happen to Yugi? he said he would find Lewis for us." "Yeah, I wish to do a mission that doesn't involve a Kaijin." Michael says

"We didn't hear back from him yet, hey old man would you please help tend to these idiots." "Hey!" shouted all three wounded men.

"My Traveler's Device just got word back from Yugi, seems he may know where this Lewis is."

and so, the Heroic Travelers Reimu and Dante save the day and patched up our two foolish young adults from the Kaijin. and return to Yugi at the Light Temple for news as Mokuba is now safe.

"Good to see you both alive. How was it?" Yugi asked "Terrible and I would love to just do basic work instead of fighting cults and spider monsters, Thanks!" Michael said. "Me too...ow my face." whined Ryan "I guess that was foolish of me to expect two beginners to win against forces like that spider Kaijin...at least your past that mess now."

"So Mr.three hair tell us where Lewis is!" Michael demanded "Remember the spider thing you just faced.... THAT was Lewis" Yugi says "What!?" Ryan exclaims "How do you know?" "Kaiba's men just found footage released to the public in Domino city. It was footage of a man matching the description of Lewis being...experimented on with a strange gene splicer used to transform Mr. Locke into that spider your group just fought."

"W-We killed him then!?" Ryan asked "Thats crazy...turning normal humans into monsters like that!" "This cult seems to want to use gene sliced warriors to take over the world and revive the Dark Alters of every world's heroes." Yugi continued. "Well, that's just great." Michael exclaims "I signed on a simple man hunt and found myself facing a lab made weapon of the guy our boss wanted to find."

"I've already told Bradford the news so you two can hopefully find less deadly missions while us Light Alters handle the cults." Yugi said. and so, a dark truth is revealed, a cult hell-bent on creating monsters known as Kaijin while also plotting to unleash Dark Alters onto the multiverse in pursuit of world domination. Next time on Travelers of the Multiverse we continue the adventures of two budding heroes questing in the world of Travelers.
