Travelers of the Multiverse # 7

Yuna makes a full recovery as news of a old threat reaches the Oddballs. the cultist's of the Dark Alters have just revived Dark Alter Yami Marik. the one who spread so much terror with his shadow games and mind controlling Millennium Rod!

"This is big, seems the Crab Kaijin was just a distraction." Bradford says. "Am not sure I should send you four back out there with Marik on the loose...it might be too early."

"Nonsense!" Ryan says "we kicked crab ass yesterday. We can surely handle a freak like this Marik guy."

"Yami Marik, there's enough redeemed versions of Marik out there that makes this a bit awkward." Michael says looking at the files on their next target.

"No matter what comes my way, I will consider it my duty to protect the defenseless!" Dominique says

"Still a bit sore from last time, but my Uzi is fixed up nice and pretty." says Yuna

and so, the Oddballs enter the fray with Dark Alter Marik ambushing him as he and his cult followers try and burn down the bamboo forest of a low-tech world. When Dark Alter Marik sees the four heroes he laughed. "What kind of homeless gang are you, Haha."

"Hey am not homeless!" Ryan snaps "I just don't have one."

"Ryan, please let me talk." Michael turns towards Marik "So you're the one known for causing the multiverse a lot of pain...my gun will correct your existance."

"I call dibs on that golden thing he carries." Yuna quickly says before making her move.

"Wait up Yuna!" Dominique says moving after his friend.

"Go my minions of pain and suffering, make them scream loudly!" Dark Alter Marik says as the cultists move towards their targets. Marik watches from afar.

Yuna moves to flank her target and sprays them with lead killing the cult member dead to rights. Meanwhile Ryan and Dominique struggle to keep up the pace. Michael sees a chance for a shot and fires his revolver and the bullet strikes a cultist between the eyes he is dead to rights!

"Hahaha, what a fun game we're playing." Marik laughed off the loss of two minions. next a cultist wildly swings his knife at Dominique manages to connect a hit. but the knife barely harms Dominique. Ryan finally catching up with his target with a wild dropkick Ryan completely wipes the floor with the cultist! Next Dominique attacks the Cultist with his staff but fails to connect a hit. Michael moves to flank the enemy cultist and fires his revolver and down goes the last cult follower of Dark Marik's ranks.

"No matter, I'd be more than happy murdering you all myself!" his creepy smile striking fear even to the heart of Ryan. the battle against the Dark Alters begins with the defeat of this one man. Ryan continues marching forward after Marik. Michael fires a round at Marik and nearly gets him but the shot was blocked with the Millennium Rod. "Nice try your green puke stain!" he then clashes steel against wooden staff. Dominique gets cut badly with the sharp rod's pointer. but is otherwise fine. Michael flanks Marik and fires another round into him. Ryan follows suit and wildly punches at Marik knocking Marik across the path then Yuna moves up and fires a lead volley which finally puts down Marik Alter. "Damn you!" Marik is then caught and sent to Dark Alter Jail.

Bradford welcomes back the Oddballs with a cake and says, "Well done everyone, you four just put a stop to a Dark Alter."

"I told you we could take him on!" Ryan lifts his hand to high five Michael. "a team like us could take on anyone, any day!" Michael. "Am just glad this didn't cause as much hardship as the first time an Alter Marik appeared." Dominique says. "Why can't I keep the rod though..." Yuna is still sad the rod was taken from them.
