Travelers of The Multiverse Session:0

This is Tommy and welcome to my little Roleplaying session here am going to try and play Risus the Anything RPG with a Solo Engine down below are the smallest character sheets as possible which is thanks to the super simplistic rules of Risus. Here am going to attempt to recreate my fanfiction mega crossover campaign I used to do with Savage Worlds, I may one day switch back to Savage Worlds but for now I want to start off this subgenre of blog post small.

Once the Multiverse was at peace when one day the first Travelers started giving Traveler Devices, a machine able to wrap across the multiverse freely were given out, for what purpose or goal remains unclear to this day. an alternate Marik Ishtar is one famous what happened due to a Traveler's Device being given to the wrong person. However, thanks some resourcefulness of Kaiba Corp Heroic Travelers where able to put a stop to Alter Marik's plans of revenge. But what happened next? well now that they had restored balance to the multiverse the one of the many World Heroes founded the Traveler's Foundation. a place where Travelers meet, train, and quest for the good of the multiverse.

"Aww crap, am going to be late!" a youth in his twenties with cobalt blue hair is seen running alongside a youth around the same age is seen running with him shouting "What happened to the alarm you set!?" "I don't know! I thought you were going to set it this time!" The blue haired young man replies looking his head back. "Damnit, Ryo if we're late on our first day am blaming you!" the green suit and fedora wearing spook replied in frustration. Yes, these two friends are going to the Traveler's Foundation Hall seeking to become Heroes of the Multiverse this morning. as they race into the Traveler's Foundation Hall of Universe 01 The primary universe. They are stopped at the door and told by two Foundation personnel guards asking them for ID. as the two young adults turn in their IDs the guards read out their names. "A Ryan Roads and Michael Hunter, I take it?" replies one of the guards. "Yup, Ryo also works!" Replies Ryan Road the one with blue hair "Yes Sir, Just Hunter is fine." Replies Michael Hunter the one with the Green Suit

(Tommy: What am about to do may confuse people but, in my games, I use something called a Solo Engine to generate unknown answers to questions a Dungeon Master would normally answer to play a Tabletop game Solo. Am using the MUNE Engine for its simple mechanics watch below. It's not as complex as am making it seem as I mostly roll a six-sided die to answer yes/no questions based on a small chart.)

"Your late it seems" replies the other guard. Ryan Roads is a tokusatsu geek who with the power of his Traveler Device he can travel to other worlds as the suited Blue Brawler who fights for justice and friendship working alongside a friend named Michael Hunter a wannabe Detective as the suited Green Thunder.

Ryan's response is "in a blue jumpsuit fighting bad guys!" with a smile. Michael's response is "Solving small missing pet cases, not sure why Ryo here thinks this job will last into our forties." "What? dude this kind of job is what I live for!"

"Yes, am sure it as for you Ryan" said John "Anyways today marks the first day in both your careers as Travelers and it's important we know both your characters." A Yokai woman seems to be stalked by a Traveler gone rouge abusing their powers. when a rouge Traveler causes trouble it's up to Heroic Travelers to set things right." As john finishes talking a woman enters the office. Kagerou the Werewolf.

"Is this place safe?" Kagerou askes John "Of course it's safe." John turns back to Ryan and Michael and says, "You're both rookies so we'll be starting you both out escorting this young woman back home until more seasoned Travelers put a stop to the stalking, should be simple enough work for you two." "Aw Just an escort? no fighting." Ryan states "Okay that's fine."

Kagerou's House

They both return to Kagerou home in the Bamboo Forest within a Universe called 'Gensokyo' a place where Yokai and Humans co-exist in a feudal era Japanese society. and its they're both Ryan and Michael get to know Kagerou. it's also there the duo meets Wakasagihime the mermaid (safely in a Wheelchair for on land mobility) and Sekibanki a Dullahan aka Headless horseman lady.

"Amazing! real Youkai!" Michael exclaims "Sorry for geeking out but am stoked!"

"Hehe Yeah we get that a lot." Kagerou replies "Anyways you're both strong right...despite being a werewolf am not one for violence."

"Super strong!" Ryan gladly states, "Just call me the Brawn and him the Brains."

"So, Miss?" Michael asks expectingly

"Imaizumi, Kagerou Imaizumi and these two are my friends Sekibanki and Wakasagihime" The Werewolf replies "The stalking became last week, and I don't think its a human."

"What makes you so certain?" Ryo Asks

[Question: Are they someone you know? Answer:1, No and...] (This means there is more going on than what is expect)

"I don't know who it is and am certain they're not from Gensokyo either, it's just creepy being spied on like this" Kagerou states

[Question: Are their threating in anyway? Answer: 4, Yes, but...]

"They're not friendly at all but for some reason they refuse to do more than spy on me." Kagerou continues.

[Question: Do you know what they look like? Answer: 3, No, but...]

"I-I hear scary sounding roars, it's not human or Yokai!" Kagerou confirms.

[Question: Can we hear the Roars now? Answer:2, No]

"So, it seems like leaving this place is risky, Ryo don't suppose you brought that deck of cards we bring to pass the time, some poker wouldn't hurt if we stuck here" Michael suggested "Okay but what about you three, feel up to some cards?" Ryo asks. and so, they all played some poker while waiting for the culprit to show themselves however little do, they know the creature stalking Kagerou was watching the whole time. what goal does this monster seek?

(Here is where I use the oracles from Ironsworn to randomize a character's goals and motive, useful for having a mystery like this one. I rolled a result and put it into brackets for clarity)

[Question: Is the monster seeking Kagerou? Answer: 6 +1 Intervention Point]

(Here I rolled a 6 which adds an Intervention Point, after getting 3 of these a random event triggers based on a d6 table. it's my favorite part of using MUNE.)

The Bat Soul Eater looms over the party.

The Monster that looks like a Bat-like humanoid stares daggers into the windows of Kagerou's home within the Bamboo Forest of the Lost.
