“Some people feel bad about being alone on valentine's day, however, I feel the complete opposite. Am a loner by nature and am more than happy to spend valentine’s day alone. Isn’t that just lovely Mr. Cuddlebear?” The hermit holds a teddy bear in his off-hand and a cup of coffee in the other.
“Oh of course Mr.Locke! It's a wonder how such a dumb holiday came to exist in the first place. Am more than enough company for a day like today!” like a puppet the bear is moved by hand as if to give it an illusion of talking for real. Their conversion continued as Locke picks up the morning paper. “It’s quite cold out today, isn’t ironic that a cold winter is associated with a holiday about love.” “It is, I wonder why they chose this time of year to celebrate Valentine’s day. There is a punchline somewhere in this fact.”
Locke picks up his paper and carries it into his home and sits Mr.Cuddlebear on the coffee table as he lounges on his chair. “While we’re on the topic of holidays what is your favorite Mr.Locke?” “Helloween, the costumes and candy make it a great holiday.” and so both Locke and Cuddlebear spend Valentine’s day alone and happy.
